I failed early and hard, but better than last year: About 4K words. I learned a lot, though, and came away more confident that I'll eventually write a novel.

But November is a terrible time for starting one. December is worse. If it's still on my mind come January, I'll probably purchase the Scrivener software and pick up where I left off. I exported and saved my content, but the software is worth the price.

As an addendum, I in no way meant that childbirth was a trivial pain, merely that the psychological pain, over the years, was longer and at least as painful. Apparently, as a man, I am wrong. My apologies for this. I would, however, request that this line not be the only thing you take away from your reading of Sundays blog.

Marc, I just found this post yesterday. It brought tears to my eyes. I have found your facebook posts an inspiration as well and miss you when you don't post for a while. I really enjoy your wicked sense of humor.
I have started my own blog (see website info above) if you are interested in tracking what I'm doing. Working with a personal trainer is the best thing I could have done. I would probably have bailed on the fitness program by now if not for Jesse. He doesn't treat me like the geriatric case that I am and pushes me forward at every session. As you can see from the photo, which was taken yesterday, I still have a way to go to reach my goal. I guess I need to post a "before" photo. I've "liked" this blog on facebook to remind me to check it regularly.
BTW, may I use the paragraph you wrote in my blog?
